Your CIEE Summer Global Internship program in Shanghai lasts 8 weeks and features two key components: a full-time internship with an international organization (approximately 30-40 hours per week) and an internship seminar. Enhance your experience with cultural and extracurricular activities while building career skills, expanding your professional network, and immersing yourself in Chinese culture. Live, learn, and work in Shanghai!

Step back in time with a visit to Suzhou, a city like a paradise, known for its beautiful traditional gardens and silk production, or Zhujiajiao, a traditional water town, known for its narrow, cobbled lanes, stone bridges, canals, and rich history

Internship Placements: CIEE offers the largest inventory of internship placements that align with your career aspirations. Internships are capacity-limited and competitive. Placements are offered in English and Chinese. Students with higher levels of Chinese may have more internship opportunities available.
Workshops: Enhance your resume and interview skills while immersing yourself in Chinese business culture through an internship and workshops that build practical skills, foster cultural competence, and expand your network.
Company Visits: Visit a digitally native company, a consulting firm, or a local non-profit foundation to gain an in-depth understanding of the work environment in Shanghai.
