Program Description:

SIS Intercultural Study Abroad

SAI has partnered with Siena Italian Studies, a school which specializes in a ‘gentle full-immersion’ approach to Italian language and culture.

Classes are taught using an instructional approach developed over the years, known as FICCS (Full-Immersion: Culture, Content, & Service). Using this approach, which combines guided and spontaneous learning acquisition, students are asked to employ new language skills both in the classroom and in service situations giving them a learning experience like no other.

SAI oversees and coordinates all aspects of student enrollment, including application processing, course selection and credit, visa preparation, housing, student health insurance, transcripts, pre-departure, on-site orientation & advising, and cell phone service.
